Meet the Team: James Davis

Tell us a bit about yourself?

I live in Camberley with my wife and son in a home that we designed and built ourselves. I’m a big fan of all sports and like to keep up with world events.

How did you get started in cybersecurity?

I began working in cybersecurity over 10 years ago in a sales role and from the outset, I was driven to understand customers’ requirements and how I could best support them in addressing their security challenges. This customer-focused approach led me to join BlueFort Security five years ago, in a customer-focused role.

What’s your role at BlueFort and what does it involve?

I am the Customer Success Manager at BlueFort, working with customers at all levels to understand their business, priorities, and security challenges. My role involves building strong, trusted relationships through regular engagement, ensuring our solutions and services align with each customer’s objectives. I also collaborate closely with internal teams across BlueFort to coordinate efforts and ensure we consistently deliver the best possible service and outcomes for our customers.

What do you love about your job?

I enjoy working closely with a wide range of customers to truly understand their priorities and help them achieve meaningful security outcomes. I collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure our solutions align with each customer’s business goals, turning complex cybersecurity challenges into clear, practical results. Building trusted relationships and contributing to our customers’ long-term success is what makes my role both rewarding and enjoyable.

What do you get up to outside of work?

Outside of work, much of my time is spent with family, whether that be ferrying my 11-year-old son to his various clubs and events, or heading off on trips, making the most of those moments together, and creating memories. I also enjoy catching up with friends, whether that be playing golf, nights out, or an adventure of some sort!

What does the future hold?

You never really know, but for me it’s about being part of BlueFort’s continued growth and success. I’m focused on strengthening long-term relationships, retaining, and growing our customers, and in the longer term I want to explore parts of the world I am yet to see and travel Europe in a camper van.
